Cody Lee Landers, 81, of Clovis, California passed away on April 4, 2017 at his home at Carmel Village at Clovis Assisted Living where he lived with his wife Dixie Landers (Pettey).
Cody was born on May 1, 1935 in Clovis, New Mexico, to Ernest Lee and Zera Inez (Sagely) Landers.
Cody moved to Fresno, California as a toddler. He played Basketball in high school.
In 1955, he started his 46 year career with Western Electric (Lucent Technologies). He was a Field Engineer.
In 1961, they moved to San Luis Obispo, California where he earned an Associate degree from Cuesta College. They moved to Clovis, California in 1977. He spent the last twelve years of his career in Hawaii before retiring in 2001 and returning to Clovis, California.
Cody was humorous, witty, enjoyed karaoke, woodworking, fishing and the Hawaiian lifestyle.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Dewey Landers. Cody is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dixie Landers; son, Steven Landers (Tracy), daughters; Debora Landers and Patricia Frazier (Dennis); brothers, Tony Landers, Jess Doyle Landers; sisters; Irene Autry, Ima Joy Hamett; 6 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
