David Wood Phillips was born August 16, 1949 in Bakersfield California, to Guy And June Phillips. He passed away June 25th, 2018 after a a brief battle with an aggressive cancer in Fresno California.
David Completed his early education in Bakersfield California, He went on to serve a two year mission in Tennessee for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He received his bachelors degree in criminology at Fresno State University. Most of his Life was centered around serving others, whether that was baking and delivering cookies, or caring for the elderly through his business HomeInstead SeniorCare,
His favorite time of year was Christmas when he could provide gifts and reach out to thousands of under privileged Seniors for his non-Profit organization Be a Santa to a Senior. He had a dedicated life of service for everyone around him including his Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and Siblings, Richard, Daryl, Patricia and Paul.
He is survived by Sisters Francis Roberts (Perry) and Pamela Phillips, and brother Joseph Phillips (Janet).
His beloved wife Pennie, his Children Rebecca Wisor, Khristie Pascoe, Elizabeth Pollock , Julia Coronado, Benjamin Phillips.
Stepchildren, Ron Caudle, Blaine Caudle, Tim Caudle, Lesa Miller, Danny Caudle and 35 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 7th @10:30am at the LDS Chapel 1149 E Alluvial ave. Fresno California
